We are a family of 5 people and arrived in Duesseldorf from Moscow in August 2012. I speak German pretty well so could ask for the information around. I beleived I would be able to find out all the information I needed. But it turned out not be that simple. For example, how could you get real information about really good schools and kindergarten or doctors for your kids? Which internet provider works good or how to sort out the rubbish. Many many big and small questions. The only way is to ask local people. We were happy to know Daniela Kaune, she is our neighbor with a husband and a lovely 6-year-old daughter. She speaks English as well so my wife could communicate as well. We found her advices very helping. What do we have now from her advices? We have good doctors for us and kids as well. Our 3-year old son goes to the very good Montessory kindergarden, we know all details of German life without which it would be not comfortable here. So we can recommend Daniela to welcome you and solve many different questions when you move to Duesseldorf.
